2020년 4월 16일. 세월호 참사 6주기를 맞아 416의 아픈 기억을 극복하고 희망의 메시지를 전달하고자 안산도시공사와 소속 사이클팀인 ARB(Ansan Road Bike)는 희생자를 추모하기 위해 진도 팽목항에서 안산 화랑유원지까지 416km의 구간을 달렸습니다. 장거리 라이딩 경험이 없던 그들은 힘든 상황에서도 서로를 의지하며 완주할 수 있었습니다. ( Youtube link ) 퍼머넌트는 진도에서 출발해 안산에서 종료합니다. 출발지와 도착지, 퍼머넌트 코드(PT-416)와 거리(416km) 또한 희생자와 가족, 친구들을 기리기 위한 것입니다. 희생된 304명(단원고등학교 학생 250명, 교사 11명, 일반인 43명)의 꿈을 담아 중도 포기(DNF, Did Not Finish) 없이 무사히 완주해주세요.
코스명인 “봄날”은 세월호 추모에 대해 노래한 2017년 2월 발매된 BTS의 곡입니다 ( Youtube M/V link ).

출발지는 기다림의 등대입니다. 등대로 향하는 방파제에 조성된 전국 26개 지역에서 모인 4,656장의 타일로 조성된 길이 195m의 기억의 벽을 지나며 라이딩이 시작됩니다. 출발 전, 416 팽목 기억관에 들려보심을 독려합니다. 세월호의 아픔을 기억하는 공간으로 검은 고양이 팽목이가 우리를 맞이해줄 겁니다. 출발지로부터 4.3km에 위치한 백동 무궁화동산에는 세월호 기억의 숲이 조성되어 있습니다.

코스는 4개 도, 8개 시, 11개 군을 지나며 안산에 도착합니다. 군산 임피에서 익산 웅포으로 향하는 한적한 예쁜 벚꽃 도로는 예전 천안 400k 브레베에서 지나던 구간입니다. 333~339km 구간의 예산 벚꽃로 또한 손꼽히는 벚꽃 명소입니다. 돌아오는 구간에 꽃이 활짝 피어있길 바랍니다. CP(Control Point)는 없습니다. 오직 출발지와 도착지만이 지정되어 있습니다. 조금이라도 빨리 집으로 돌아가길 바라는 마음에서입니다.

도착지인 단원고 4.16 기억교실은 단원고등학교 학생들과 선생님들이 생활하던 교실을 그대로 이전하여 재현한 공간입니다.

April 16, 2020. In order to overcome the painful memories of 416 and deliver a message of hope in the sixth anniversary of the Sewol ferry disaster, Ansan City Corporation and its cycle team, ARB (Ansan Road Bike), traveled 416 km from Paengmok Port in Jindo to Ansan Hwarang Amusement Park to commemorate the victims. They didn't have long-distance riding experience, but they were able to rely on each other to complete the tour even in difficult situations. (Youtube link).
This permanent starts in Jindo and finishes in Ansan. Not only the start- and finish locations but also the permanent code (PT-416) and the distance (416 km) are in honor of the victims and their families and friends. Please finish safely without giving up (DNF, Did Not Finish) for the dreams of 304 victims (250 Danwon Highschool students, 11 teachers and 43 ordinary people). The course name “Spring Day” is a song by BTS released in February 2017 in memory of the Sewol ferry disaster victims. (Youtube M/V link)

The starting point is the lighthouse of waiting. The ride begins as you pass through the 195m long wall of memory made of 4,656 tiles from 26 regions across the country built on the breakwater heading to the lighthouse. Before departure, we encourage you to stop by the 416 Paengmok Memorial Hall. A space to remember the pain of the Sewol ferry, the black cat Paengmok will welcome us. Mugunghwa Garden in Baekdong, located 4.3km from the departure point, has a forest of memories of the Sewol ferry disaster.

The course passes through 4 provinces, 8 cities and 11 counties and finishes in Ansan. The beautiful, quiet cherry blossom road from Gunsan Impi to Iksan Ungpo is a section of the former Cheonan 400k Brevet. It is also one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots for cherry blossoms in the 333~339km section. I hope the flowers are in full bloom during the ride. There is no intermediate CP (Control Point). Only the origin and destination are specified. I am hoping you return home well.

The 4.16 Memory Classroom of Danwon Highschool, the destination, is a space that was relocated and reproduces the classroom where the Danwon High School students and teachers lived.
