After fifteen years of presiding the management of Korea Randonneurs, it's time for a change. I will step down as the president.

This retirement I do with pain in my heart because I loved my work and I  still do. But getting older, especially the deteriorating memory ability is hampering me, as well as my physical health. More importantly, modernization of riding and controlling brevets and permanents is imminent. Leading Korea Randonneurs into a modern style organization is in better hands with a team with fresh, new ideas. This team of enthusiastic volunteers will be presided by the best capable person I can think of: Mr. Youngsam Kim.

Changes will not happen suddenly. I will stay closely connected, as long as I can, I am not planning to retire to my home country. Korea and Korea Randonneurs is a part of my life that I cannot just abandon. Therefore: continue riding permanents as usual, including sending your photos and also your flèche proposals. When changes in the procedures are at hand, it will never come as a surprise. Send to me your emails as usual, I will forward those to others if I think necessary.

I hate the thought of losing the contact with you through the control point messages and will welcome you at the finish of brevets and flèche whenever I can.
